Our laser emits concentrated light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair. This light turns into heat, damaging the hair root and follicle, which slows down hair growth. Over a series of treatments, hairs in the right growth stage are permanently reduced, leaving smoother skin.
The laser only targets hairs in the active growth stage (anagen phase), which is about 10–20% of hairs at any one time. Multiple sessions spaced over weeks are needed to treat all hairs effectively and achieve long-lasting results.
Follow these steps to ensure the best results:
- Avoid sun exposure and fake tan for at least 4 weeks before and after treatment.
- Do not wax, thread, epilate, or bleach the area.
- Inform us of any changes in medical status or pregnancy.
- Let us know about any medications, as some increase sensitivity to the laser.
- Avoid make-up, perfume, or deodorant on the area during your appointment.
- Apply SPF50 to exposed skin.
- Shave the treatment area 24 hours before your session to allow slight regrowth for the laser to target.
To support healing and results:
- Soothe the skin with aloe vera for up to 48 hours.
- Avoid cosmetic products for 3 days, especially those with vitamin A or glycollic acid.
- Steer clear of saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools, and strenuous exercise for at least 3 days.
Consultation and Patch Test: First, we check your suitability for treatment and answer your questions.
Session: You'll remove clothing from the treatment area, and disposable underwear is provided if needed. A cooling gel is applied, and the laser is run over the area to target hairs.
Adjustments: Laser strength may be increased in future sessions for optimal results.
No Downtime: You can leave immediately after treatment.
Treatment Schedule: For best results, sessions are every 4 weeks to 6 weeks.
